Mr Rudd said Australia should brace for further casualties. "2008 will be difficult and dangerous and bloody, and the Australian nation needs to prepare itself for further losses in the year ahead," Mr Rudd said. Four other commandos from the Sydney-based 4RAR unit were wounded in the Taliban incident.

You were the first person I thought of when I heard it on the news actually, {{{HUGS}}} mate. I'm definitely thinking of the soldier's family at the moment...
My brother is in the army.. He is a medic.. He was in Lebanon recently helping to evacuate Australian civilians...
